Masaru Ikeda currently acts as co-founder of The Bridge, one of Japan’s leading media outlets covering the startup scene in Japan and the rest of the world.
He started his career as a programmer/engineer, and previously co-founded several system integration companies and consulting firms. He’s been traveling around Silicon Valley, Europe and Asia exploring the IT industry and prominent startups.

As Senior Business Analyst in the Market and Services Development Unit at Invitalia (National Agency for inward investment and economic development)’s Incentives and Innovation Department, Bruno is currently in charge of the development, implementation and management of the tutoring services for startups financed within the “Smart & Start Italia” incentive scheme. Previously, he worked for the European Commission in the field of ICT policies, and for the Diplomatic Advisor of the Economic Development Minister.

As an expert in setting up new businesses, Alex is actively working on building bridges between Japanese innovation ecosystems and innovation ecosystems of other countries. EDGEof Inc. is the official supporter of the J-Startup Program, an initiative started by METI, and the accelerator partner of Global Startup Program, a 3-month acceleration program for 8 Italian startups in Tokyo, realized in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
