Dear guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, good evening and welcome from me and my wife Sabina, to the Residence of the Ambassador of Italy.\u00a0 A beautiful building of the mid-sixties, enriched by small treasures of Italian art and located in one of the oldest Japanese gardens of the Edo period.<\/p>\n

To start with, allow me to greet and warmly thank Lino De Santis \u2013 President of Versace Japan and a dear friend \u2013 who strongly wanted to hold this event in this outstanding House.<\/p>\n

I am very glad to host this wonderful night dedicated to Versace, one of the most iconic Italian brands that contributed to create the concept of \u201cMade in Italy<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Eight artworks of Versace\u2019s latest collection, named \u201cLa Vacanza<\/em>\u201d, are placed tonight in the Ball Room. They are meant to celebrate the graphic prints on the theme of Barocco Sea, inspired by the natural wonders of Sea and Mythology.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The use of colour, the drive for innovation, the combination of the highest-quality materials and new motives have characterised Versace since the very begin in 1978. These key elements, together with the creative geniuses of Gianni and Donatella, have made Versace a historical brand, recognized and loved all over the world for its incredible design.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Versace return in Japan, more than 10 years ago already, has been welcomed with sincere and warm enthusiasm.
