Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Japan, a magnificent example of contemporary architecture that overlooks an historic Japanese garden from the Edo period.
I would like to welcome and greet in particular Soichiro Fujiwara, Managing Director of Dolce & Gabbana Japan, Georgina Atkinson, Managing Partner of Origin Private Office, and Richard Jordan, CEO of Official Partners, whit whom we are here tonight to celebrate one of the most famous Italian fashion houses in the world: Dolce & Gabbana.
This beautiful Residence perfectly displays the creativity of this iconic brand, crafted almost 40 years ago by Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana.
Inspired by Sicily and the Mediterranean culture, D&G landed successfully to the shores of Japan – a country known for its refined taste, passion for beauty, and attention to details – to open one of its first international stores abroad.
Dolce & Gabbana’s style is about aesthetics, top-quality materials, and innovation. A perfect formula that fits the concept of Made in Italy.
These core values are evident in the stunning pieces on display tonight of “Alta Moda” for women, “Alta Sartoria” for men, and “Alta Gioielleria” collections, highlighting the mastery of traditional Italian artisanship.
I am sure the brand’s idea of beauty, joy of living and lifestyle will also be reflected into the overseas real estate project by D&G that we are going to discover tonight.
In closing, I would like to thank you all again for your presence on this special occasion and to extend my best wishes to Dolce & Gabbana for a continued success in the world and in Japan.
Let me also express my sincere wish to have soon the opportunity to host Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana here in Tokyo.
Have a wonderful night!
